Computers with low specifications, or we often call them potatoes,
are really annoying because it is very difficult to compromise in carrying out
activities, whether for browsing, photo editing, video editing or just doing
basic work such as opening Office applications.

 

We really don't expect too much from a potato computer, let alone do
a lot of multi-tasking. Our computer might overheat which will cause damage to
the hardware components in the computer device.

 

A quick way to overcome high CPU usage is to upgrade the computer
hardware itself. But for those who have a limited budget, it becomes another
obstacle. To overcome the problem of high CPU usage without upgrading computer
hardware, one of them is to disable some programs that are not needed but have
high CPU consumption. What program is that? Let's follow the steps below.

 

• The first step is to open the Task Manager by pressing the CTRL + ALT + DELETE keys on the keyboard. Then click the “Show Processes from all users” button to see all running programs.
• Now click on the CPU tab to sort by highest CPU usage. There you will see programs that consume high CPU, one of which is "Trusted Installer".
• Open Control Panel, System and Security, Windows Update, Change Settings, Select "Never check for updates", then OK.
• After that click Start/Search, type “msconfig.exe”, select the Services tab, uncheck “Windows Modules Installer”, then OK. If a notification appears to restart the computer, just ignore it to continue to the next step.
• The last step is to reopen the Control Panel, search for "Administrative Tools", open "Services", scroll until you find "Windows Modules Installer", double click, on "Startup type" select Manual then OK.
• Restart Computer. Done.
